All of us develop ways of being in the world based on what we have learned from past experience. Only when these ways of being interfere with our health, happiness, or relationships do they become problematic. Therapy aims to change habitual ways of relating, behaving, feeling, or perceiving so that one can lead a happier, more fulfilling life. I believe it is important not to reduce problems to a simple psychological diagnosis; instead, I emphasize who you are as a unique individual. While addressing your concerns in therapy, I will help you recognize your personal strengths and help you utilize these strengths in the therapeutic process. My approach to therapy is personalized and flexible, meaning I integrate interventions and approaches intended to benefit your specific needs. I enjoy working both with adults and adolescents.
