I enjoy the collaborative process of therapy. My clients frequently tell me that my presence has a calming effect on them. Building a safe, strong, nurturing relationship helps my clients candidly address the issues and concerns that brought them into therapy. Each individual’s objectives for treatment are based on their unique personality and situation.
Therapy can help you develop a deeper understanding of what is happening in your life so you can make life-enhancing changes. Exploring significant life experiences can offer important insights into your current issues, however insight alone is not enough. Ultimately, the goal of therapy is to help you change the way you think, feel and act. Our work together will focus on interventions and strategies to relieve current problems and allow you to take affirmative steps to achieve more fulfillment in your life.
I am returning to this important work after taking time “off” to have and raise my children. While I was a full time mother, I kept abreast of changes and developments in psychotherapy, completed training at the Parenting with Love and Logic Institute in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and developed and taught parenting classes. I’ve also been involved in a number of volunteer projects in the community, church and at Pace Academy.
