Treatment Philosophy

As a therapist I believe it’s crucial for me to create a safe, supportive environment for my clients. Within that relationship, they can have the courage to start to explore and understand their patterns of thinking, feeling and acting in the world. I help my clients find new ways of perceiving and relating to others, with the ultimate goal to become more psychologically and physically healthy. I enjoy working with older children, adolescents, and adults, but I particularly enjoy helping women through important life transitions, from marriage and the adventure of parenting through the challenges of the empty nest and menopause. I also have a special interest in helping women and couples experiencing issues surrounding infertility. I see individuals in therapy and have practiced at PFPA since 1999.
